WARRANTY OVERVIEW

Our covers are made from premium UV-treated polycarbonate and supported by internal industrial grade aluminum stays. The cover rests securely on the window well rim, distributing load across a wide contact area. The combination of continuous rim support and internal bracing provides stability against heavy snow and incidental loads. These covers are not designed or rated for foot traffic and should not be used as walk-on surfaces.

Windows Well Covered offers a two-tier limited warranty to provide our customers with lasting peace of mind:

Tier 1 – Lifetime Workmanship Warranty
We guarantee the quality of our craftsmanship for as long as you own your home. If a defect in fabrication, fit, or installation affects the function of your cover, we’ll make it right.

Tier 2 – 10-Year Limited Material Warranty
Our covers are built from premium materials designed to last. We cover material defects, including polycarbonate cracking or aluminum component failure, for up to 10 years—with prorated replacement coverage after three years.

CLAIM PROCEDURE

To make a request or claim for service under this Limited Warranty, the original purchaser must contact Windows Well Covered and provide proof of purchase, along with evidence of the alleged defect. Any warranty claim must be made promptly within 30 days of discovering the issue. Damage not covered under warranty can be repaired at a reasonable material and labor cost on a case-by-case basis.

TIER 1: LIFE TIME WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY DETAILS

Windows Well Covered – Custom Window Well Covers (legal name Colorado Window Well Supply LLC) warrants the workmanship of each custom-built Windows Well Covered™ window well cover (“Cover”) for the lifetime of the original purchaser’s ownership of the residential property where the Cover was originally installed and is not transferable, without the written consent of Windows Well Covered. This includes defects related to the fabrication, installation, or fit of the Cover that materially impair its intended function.

Each Cover is uniquely designed for a specific window well. Installing new window wells or moving your Cover to a different window well for which the Cover was not designed voids this warranty and absolves Windows Well Covered of any responsibility or promise implied by the sale of the original product.

This workmanship warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, abuse, unauthorized modifications, improper product care, or improper installation by others.

TIER 2: 10-YEAR LIMITED MATERIAL WARRANTY DETAILS

Windows Well Covered further warrants that the material components of the Cover, including polycarbonate and structural stays, shall be free from defects in materials under normal use for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of purchase, subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations set forth below.

This Limited 10-Year Warranty on materials applies only to performance-affecting material failure. It expressly excludes:

• Normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches, scuffs, dents, discoloration, clouding, or fading).
• Aesthetic issues that do not impair function.
• Damage due to misuse, abuse, or negligence.
• Change in cover fit due to window well shifting or warp from ground movement or landscaping.
• Improper installation, including use on non-compatible window wells (i.e., any well for which the custom cover was not intended).
• Damage resulting from natural disasters, acts of God, or extreme weather conditions (e.g., hail, high wind, ice buildup).
• Damage from chemical cleaning agents not approved by Windows Well Covered. Use only approved soft soap, polycarbonate cleaners, or diluted vinegar solution.
• Any modification, repair, or alteration by a third party not authorized by Windows Well Covered.

  If a material defect occurs, a repair will be made if possible at the sole discretion of Windows Well Covered, or a prorated replacement will be offered for a new cover.

LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY PROVIDED BY WINDOWS WELL COVERED AND SUPERSEDES ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. No oral or written statement by Windows Well Covered or its representatives shall be deemed to expand or modify this warranty.

WINDOWS WELL COVERED SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSS ARISING FROM THE USE, MISUSE, OR INABILITY TO USE A COVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE OF THE HOME, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

GOVERNING LAW

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
